A French story

Solamor is a brand created in 1946 by Georges Lissac, in a France still marked by the post-war period but already looking towards the future.

Its ambition was simple: to offer spectacle wearers elegant and high-quality solutions, adapted to all ametropias, without compromising on comfort.

The name comes from "Soleil" (Sun) and "Amor" (Love).

A direct, generous word that expresses the intention to accompany the gaze with care.

In the 1950s and 1960s, Solamor naturally established itself. New Wave actors, athletes, images from the Tour de France…

Archives show Belmondo, Godard, and Jacques Anquetil wearing Solamor eyewear.

The brand was part of a period of freedom, creativity, and collective momentum.

A revival driven by passion

Over time, Solamor fell dormant.

Today, it is reborn, spearheaded by the Miklitarian family, driven by an unwavering passion for eyewear and beautiful products.

Leveraging expertise acquired over the years, sometimes lost by manufacturers, the family breathes new life into Solamor, honoring its original spirit while anchoring it in the present day. Under the direction of Jérémy Miklitarian, the brand revives its iconic sunglass and optical models.
